Your County Officials

John Kefalas

Larimer County Commissioner - District 1

"As an elected official these past 15 years - 12 years in the Colorado Legislature and 3 years on the Larimer County Board of Commissioners, I see myself as a public servant bringing people together to solve problems and make our community a better place for everyone - with access to opportunities and a meaningful life.  For the past 46 years, I have dedicated my work and life endeavors to the pursuit of greater justice, equity, fairness, unity, kindness and understanding, and my varied life experiences, including Peace Corps, help keep me grounded as I navigate the paths forward. Family and friends sustain me and provide further motivation and guidance to carry on this public service - especially for my four grandchildren and future generations."

Jody Shadduck-McNally

Larimer County Commissioner - District 3

"I was born and raised in Northern Colorado. Larimer County is a great place to raise a family, start a business, enjoy the outdoors, or retire. As the gateway to the Rockies, Larimer County offers a quality of life that’s unparalleled.  I have been visiting Rocky Mountain National Park every year of my life. After years of service in the communities where I live and have raised my family, I decided that I needed to run for county commissioner to preserve and protect our quality of life for our children and future generations. Commissioners' decisions and work impact our daily lives and I wanted to be able to serve as the county leader to help make these policy decisions for our communities.  As a commissioner, my work has positively impacted our open spaces, environment, housing, mental health resources, support for our older adults and aging demographics, increasing broadband in our county, and so much more. I love my job and I am so honored to work hard on your behalf. "

Larimer County District Attorney

Public service can be difficult but it is also incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful to be able to spend my days working to ensure my Larimer and Jackson County neighbors have a better, safer, and more equitable life than they did they day before.

Joann Ginal

State Senator Senate District 14

I am proud to serve my friends and neighbors in Fort Collins (Senate District 14). I have nine years of experience representing you in the Colorado Legislature: first, as your State Representative (House District 52) from 2012-2018 and currently as your State Senator.

I have brought a unique voice to the General Assembly as a both scientist and as a health care and pharmaceutical professional. My education and work experience have allowed me to contribute important perspectives and understanding of critical issues, particularly those related to healthcare, public health, the economy, and the environment.

I do what I do because I believe in the idea that we are no better than how we treat the most vulnerable members of our society.

Andrew Boesenecker

State Representative House District 53

We’re in this together, and together we can find creative solutions to the challenges that face our state.
I am your State Representative for House District 53 and I believe that together we can build a future full of hope, equity, and opportunity for each and every Coloradan.

As an educator, progressive clergy, and a member of our community, I believe in the goodness of people. Working hard, serving our community, listening and learning from the experiences of others, standing with those who are suffering, and being unafraid to do the right thing are values that I aspire to every single day. To borrow a phrase from Margaret Mead: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

Phil Weiser

Colorado Attorney General

As a first generation American, whose family was welcomed after surviving the Holocaust, I don't take our nation's ideals and commitments--for equal justice, freedoms and opportunities for all, and working toward a more perfect union--for granted.  As your Attorney General, I am privileged to work with a great group of public servants to advance the rule or law, protect our democracy, and promote justice for all.
