County Commissioners

John Kefalas

Larimer County Commissioner - District 1

"As an elected official these past 15 years - 12 years in the Colorado Legislature and 3 years on the Larimer County Board of Commissioners, I see myself as a public servant bringing people together to solve problems and make our community a better place for everyone - with access to opportunities and a meaningful life.  For the past 46 years, I have dedicated my work and life endeavors to the pursuit of greater justice, equity, fairness, unity, kindness and understanding, and my varied life experiences, including Peace Corps, help keep me grounded as I navigate the paths forward. Family and friends sustain me and provide further motivation and guidance to carry on this public service - especially for my four grandchildren and future generations."

Kristin Stephens

Larimer County Commissioner - District 2

I ran for office to help build a community that works for all of our residents. I remain committed to working on equity, affordable housing and homelessness, child care, economic stability, and environmental justice. It has been the honor of my lifetime to serve Fort Collins and Larimer County as an elected official.

Jody Shadduck-McNally

Larimer County Commissioner - District 3

"I was born and raised in Northern Colorado. Larimer County is a great place to raise a family, start a business, enjoy the outdoors, or retire. As the gateway to the Rockies, Larimer County offers a quality of life that’s unparalleled.  I have been visiting Rocky Mountain National Park every year of my life. After years of service in the communities where I live and have raised my family, I decided that I needed to run for county commissioner to preserve and protect our quality of life for our children and future generations. Commissioners' decisions and work impact our daily lives and I wanted to be able to serve as the county leader to help make these policy decisions for our communities.  As a commissioner, my work has positively impacted our open spaces, environment, housing, mental health resources, support for our older adults and aging demographics, increasing broadband in our county, and so much more. I love my job and I am so honored to work hard on your behalf. "
